About MeOctober 25, 2008I am a natural light photographer who specializes in capturing true life photos. I enjoy photographing those moments you want to hold on to forever, and freezing them in time. I prefer not to overly pose my subjects, but instead to capture the glances and expressions that reveal the heart of individual.
I tend to get a bit dusty and dirty as I pursue just the right moment. Doesn't everyone get a little dirty when they play? That is how I like to think of your session, as a fun time filled with playfulness and memories. Not all of my photos are of smiling faces as I love cute frowns and serious, thoughtful glances too.
I shoot on location, and we will determine what location to use to achieve the feel you are looking for. Do you want something soft and romantic, something timeless, or are you looking for something more edgy and urban? I constantly scout locations to provide a wide arrangement. We can also do the shoot in the comfort of your own home.
During our consultation we will discuss clothing, props and the like. I have props, but it is even better when you have some of your own favorite things. Grandmother's old quilt and tea set make for magical moments. Dad's hand me down radio flyer wagon can be just the thing to pull around a load of favorite stuffed friends. Bare feet are great, but so are boots, golashes and chucks.
The photos I take should reflect you and your family as they really are. I know when we look through our old family photos, it is the candid shots that we like the best. The photos of my brother as Oscar the grouch in our new metal trash can or of my father long before I was born in a Playboy Bunny costume. (Don't ask... ) One of my favorites my aunt took of Miss America with fruit in her crown. These are the moments that bring back memories and make you smile.
