Team Up ThursdaysApril 15, 2010This week we went with the theme of Spring. I think it is very telling that both of us chose to do bluebonnet photos. What says spring in Texas more than a field of bluebonnets? These fields are highly sought after, and often buzzing with as many mothers snapping photos of their children as there are bees. My beautiful daughter was in no mood to take photos this week. She wanted to run around in the flowers and play. Just a little photographer's hint, when a sibling won't stay still, have them kiss the other one. If you are quick enough, you will capture a darling shot, even if the kiddos are not facing you.
Rebecca's photo was taken of her beautiful daughter at dusk, and mine early morning.
Just for FUN (don't forget about the
Fun Revolution) I thought I would share some past bluebonnet photos. I have tried to be a good Texas Mother and capture bluebonnet photos each spring.
Here is my beautiful daughter and one of her friends in 2008. This is one of my all time favorite photos.
Shh... don't tell anyone that Princess picked a flower before I could stop her.
Here is the photo from last year. She was not in the mood and did not want to have her photo made at all. I tried two times, but this was about the best photo I got.
I am serious about the bee thing. You really have to watch out as they are everywhere in these beautiful flowers. Since my daughter would not pose last year, I captured these amazing bees instead.
The threat of rain has not appeared on our side of the Metroplex yet, so I think I'll just head back out to the bluebonnet field and try again.7:37 AM
