Yes There is a Santa!December 09, 2010Yes, there is a Santa, and he resides at NorthPark Center from Thanksgiving through Christmas. I have no idea how he does it, this has to be the busiest time of the year for him. He must REALLY trust his elves.
We went this week with some friends to see him. We arrived a bit after 9 AM to get our number so at 11 when Santa starts taking photos we would not have to wait as long. We were number 18. Santa has a story time at 10:30 so we hung around the mall taking a few photos and window shopping. We did get some great deals at The Disney Store.
My Princess loved all the lights and Christmas decor. (If you see her, please do not mention the bruise on her cheek... she fell last week while running around the sofa with a friend, and she is really self-conscious about it.)
All of the kids were wild with excitement and it was nice to walk around a bit and burn off some energy. I love capturing natural smiles like this one.
These two had a great time running around the fountain and listening to the Christmas Carolers. I really wish I knew what he said to her to make her turn to smile at him like that. Adorable, and yes I know I am a bit partial.....
Love these two saying they are not happy about having to wait for Santa Story time. Debbie almost started a riot by softly (or not so softly) chanting "Santa! Santa!".
Thanks to Debbie who tag teamed with me to keep my little Man happy... Shh, don't tell his Daddy we let him walk around the mall with no socks on. He just kept pulling them off!
Santa did not disappoint when he did appear with his dog Widget in tow. It is amazing how long 4 year olds can sit still when Santa is talking.
When we did get to see Santa he was very kind and patient with all the picture taking going on. He listened to my daughter as she was telling him about her cheek, and quickly switched knee so that the bruise would not be so pronounced in the photos... I captured this shot just before the move.
I can't show you any of the other photos I took.... don't want to ruin it for the Grandparents... but I will share photos taken two years ago.... Same Santa, same girls. They just grow up so fast!
