Girls Day | Dallas Women's Museum and Photo WalkApril 10, 2011This Friday my sweet hubby took on parenting both of our children and I went out for a photography outing with some great gals. My friend Jennifer O'Carroll planned the morning and a few of us joined her to check out the The Women's Museum exhibit Annie Leibovitz : Women. We arrived at Fair Park before the museum opened, so we took a little "photo walk". Here are some of my images... I know with all of the flower images, it looks more like we went to the Arboretum!
It was fun to peek into windows and take photos of some of the interesting things just on the inside of the window ledges. You know me, I love to take photos of people! I was able to be sneaky and capture this guy checking his phone. Think he was checking his Facebook, texting a friend or maybe tweeting about the crazy girl across the street who only thinks she is being stealthy?
I hope he was tweeting. I am SO addicted to
twitter.
We did ask this waitress if we could take her photo outside of the
Pizza Lounge where she works. Later we went in and had some great food. Her service was amazingly effortless... she visited with us all the while meeting our every need before we could think of it.
I had the wonderful shrimp Po-Boy, minus the bread part. It looked so good that I totally forgot to take a photo of my meal. You can tell how much I enjoyed it by what was left on my plate....
The shrimp were so tasty they did not even need the sauce. Trust me, I am from Mississippi and I know what shrimp are supposed to taste like!
We left lunch and headed back over to
The Women's Museum.
Naturally you are not allowed to take photographs of the exhibit, but we enjoyed the opportunity to see some amazing work. I loved the exhibit, but I loved the company even more. There is nothing better than a day well spent.
What did you do this weekend?
