Baby Bumps, Blocks and BranchesJanuary 10, 2009What fun I had this week while photographing Y. She was a great sport, laying on the ground, leaning on trees and all kinds of other fun things. I am so pleased with the photos from this shoot that I spent all day today editing and playing with different ideas. Just thought I would share a few here.
Long names and little baby bumps make for challenging block photos. We joked they should have chosen a shorter name just so the blocks would fit across her cute little bump.
I love this back lit photo. Can you believe she only has 4 weeks to go? Y's doctor says it may not even be that long. We can't wait to meet little Scarlett, but we do hope she waits at least a week or two more before making her appearance.
Big Sis A, was so cute and very cooperative. We tried over and over to get just the right shot of her kissing baby Scarlett, but toddlers move so fast. I really love some of the outtakes.
There were so many of these "outtakes" that I loved, I have to share one more. She is such a sweet girl and you really get a sense of that with this photo. So serious and grown up at times, this little girl is going be a wonderful Big Sis.
This tree was the perfect angle for a good belly shot, and I took quite a few frames. Y was the perfect model with a great smile and serene look. I did notice she was looking down every few moments, and I thought it was just to be sure Big Sis was still close by.
Then I took the camera down from my eye for a moment and found the truth! Big Sis was busy shoving sticks up the leg of Mommy's blue jeans. I laughed so hard. I tell you, Y would totally win Top Model, as she kept her focus and pose no matter what! I don't think I could have stayed so composed while the Princess shoved tree branches up my pant leg.
I would love to share all the shots here, but I will save a few to be just for this great family. Keep an eye on this blog as I am sure photos of little Scarlett will be here before to long.
OK, well, maybe I will share just ONE more!
