Spring is in the Air

One of my friends was over last night and mentioned how much she is looking forward to Spring and the beautiful weather. We talked about last year when we took the kiddos to Dallas Arboretum's Blooms Event. Our conversation prompted two things from me. The first thing is this blog post to remind all of you that Dallas Blooms starts this Saturday (March 7) and goes through April 12. With the chill of this weekend, Spring has quite frankly taken me by surprise, so I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know the days I will be doing my first sessions at the Arboretum.

I will be booking Photo sessions at the Arboretum the following dates:
Friday, March 13, Two Sessions available
Saturday, March 14, Four Sessions available
Friday, March 20, Three Sessions available
Other Dates to be Announced.

The second thing our conversation prompted was a search for some of the photos I took last year. After a great deal of searching and digging through some discs, I found some of them! Please don't laugh to hard. It is surprising to see how much I have improved in just one short year. Photography is so fun and challenging there is always more to learn and more skills to develop, but I feel the classes I have taken and the hours of practice have put in certainly paid off. All of these were taken in the first few months of owning a DSLR, when I was still using it like a point and shoot. So for your amusement and for a bit of spring, here are some of last years attempts at photos at the Arboretum.

The Princess and Mr. C are going to really be mad at us one day for some of these photos......

But the photos are so cute I am willing to risk any future animosity.


I really cannot believe how quickly they grow and change at this age..... he looks so small and now he is so much more "grown up".


You are all familiar with Momma J and Mr. C, well here they are last spring.


Here is the Princess, and as usual she was not into having her photo taken, so I have some pretty shots that don't include her sweet smile.


No one can resist the beauty of the season.
