Fun Friday Photos... just a little bit late. 3.6.09March 06, 2009It is really early Saturday morning as I type this post. Those of you who know me, understand this time of the "day" is really my most creative. Well, not tonight. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am tired. It is a shame that insomnia does not allow you to sleep when you really want and need to.
Today, J and I took C, Baby M and the Princess to Dallas Arboretum. It is hard work running after toddlers. We had fun, and even though the kiddos were not the most willing of subjects, I think we have a few good shots.
I thought I might share a bit of spring for all of you to see. Don't forget to schedule your very own session at the Arboretum. Please forgive the fact these are barely edited... I am just to sapped to work on them.
I love this shot of C. He looks like he is flying with both feet in the air.
I think we were boring Baby M. She looked so cute in this dress and in the flowers.
I recently attended a photography workshop where the instructor said she would rather have all her teeth pulled out with pliers without the use of novocaine, than attempt to take pictures of her own children. Everyone in the room laughed. I am so glad to know I am not alone in frustration of trying to capture a beautiful photo of my own child. Still, I am a glutton for punishment and I have to try.
Most of the day was spent looking the backs of our children. Here is the back of my girl. She is really getting fast. I am going to have to start running again just to keep up with her.
I love this photo. I know you can't see her beautiful eyes, or her little curls, but it is such a sweet moment.
We tried to recreate a shot similar to the one of them from last year. (It is one of the photos in the header of this blog) We were not successful. I think we will give it a try again another day.
C looks so cute in the Princess's hat. He told us it was a farmer's hat. I love how his mind works.
Naturally since we had them both in white, they found a really yucky mud puddle to jump and play in. Little dirty toes are so cute.
Most of the beds are not in full bloom yet, but these tulips were just to lovely to pass without snapping a quick shot.
Spring is a beautiful time of year. To me this year it marks a time for a fresh start. Hope you have time in the coming weeks to stop and smell (or photograph) the flowers, lay in the sun and splash in some mud puddles. You may be tired at the end of the day, but you will feel like a kid again and your children will love it.
