Sunny Days and Location ScoutingMay 19, 2009Today was a rather lazy day here at the V house. Princess was up most of last night with a raspy cough. Poor baby seems to have inherited her momma's allergies. This morning was spent watching movies, reading books and eating apples. Then around 11:30 she announced, "I am tired of being home, can we get out of here?" I almost fell off the sofa. We decided to take lunch to my dear hubby.
On the way home from lunch, the Princess made another announcement. "I want to take pictures in the flowers, so I can have a lollipop." I laughed, but you know I raced home to grab a cute dress and took her up on the offer. I promise we were not out of the car even fifteen minutes, as I was worried about the pollen, but she certainly earned her lollipops! (Yes, I let her have two since they are small...)
I love how she grabbed her dress in her hand, and totally unprompted at that. She was so careful as she walked so she "would not hurt the flowers."
She kept looking for butterflies, but mostly we saw a lot of bees.
Her little hand gently touched the flowers and she remarked at how soft they were.
What a wonderful few moments for me, a lovely field of white flowers, a beautiful daughter who WANTED to take photos, and we both had a watermelon lollipop as a reward. Surely there is nothing better.
