Ah, Memories! | Mississippi Girl FlashbacksJune 02, 2009My poor camera has been ignored for the last week or two. We went to Mississippi for my nephew's third birthday party. I am sure I will post a few pics from that trip later on, but right now I am having a ball scanning in some old photos. I have TONS of old photos. I decided to scan them so I could toss the prints and finally have some room in my closet. Thought you might all enjoy a few pics from my past! (Don't worry Mom, I am not going to toss these little gems.)
Here I am with my brother, who knows what year, but on Easter Morning. How can I tell? By the cute little creatures in the boxes. Yes, back then you actually got real chicks and ducks for Easter. We were city kids, and I am sure a few met with some sad end, but one chicken, Henry I believe, I remember well. We kept him for YEARS. Don't tell the city though.....
Here we are at the 1984 Worlds Fair! Don't we look like we are having fun?
Not sure how old I am here, but I love this shot. The van makes such a great background. Wish I had those skinny little legs now.
Yet another Easter. This shot taken on my Grandfather's front porch. I just love how cute we were.
How about this one snapped by a kind onlooker at Disney? I love it.
Want to see something more "recent"?
This one was in 1997. The day I graduated from College! Yeah! I had forgotten that Leah, Smoots and I were all blond at the time. Smoots has gone back to her red hair for years now........
I think this one is only eleven years old. My hubby, but "boyfriend" at the time, and I both had to dress up for Halloween for our jobs. I had a ball with my friend Andy's old Firestone shirt. (Don't tell Andy I still have it....) Hubby was a pirate. I ran by his work and we snapped a few shots before I started my waitress shift. You can't see it on my jeans, but I painted the tire of my car and then ran over the jeans a few times. It made it pretty funny.
Don't you think my hubby will look good with gray hair one day?
Hope you enjoyed my little trip down memory lane.
